SKY Perfect JSAT makes our “SKY PerfecTV!” services available to the consumer regardless of time or location, utilizing various transmission routes, including the “SKY PerfecTV!” service (124/128 degree east longitude CS digital broadcast), the “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” service (110 degree east longitude CS digital broadcast), and “SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI” (optical fiber). SKY Perfect JSAT continues to work to offer a variety of enjoyable, high-quality visual content for families, as well as content that can be easily enjoyed by individuals no matter the time or location.

SKY PerfecTV! (124/128 degree east longitude CS digital broadcast)

Utilizing two communications satellites, SKY PerfecTV! is far and away the leader in multi-channel pay TV broadcasting programming selection. Beyond the sheer number of channels offered, SKY PerfecTV! is also the leader in rolling out high-definition content to the market. Added to a wealth of channel selections meeting diverse viewing needs, SKY PerfecTV! also offers PPV programming, as well as various packs and sets that combine popular programming and/or genres.

SKY PerfecTV! HD

SKY PerfecTV! HD is a CS digital broadcast service over the 124/128 degree east longitude satellites providing both standard- and high-definition content. Beginning with 15 high-definition channels in October 2008, “SKY PerfecTV! HD” plans to expand to more than 70 channels in October 2009, and ultimately providing over 100 high-definition channels to subscribers. SKY PerfecTV! HD utilizes the new “DVB-S2” transmission method expected to become popular worldwide, as well as the “H.264｜MPEG-4　AVC” compression technology, allowing for the transmission of even greater numbers of programs in a high-definition format. Set-top boxes for this service allow subscribers to view both standard and high-definition content, and will also provide many other convenient functions.

SKY PerfecTV! SD

Launched in 1996, “SKY PerfecTV! SD” is a multi-channel broadcast service boasting an offering of nearly 290 channels. With an unmatched number of channels, we offer a lineup of several sets and packaged products. We also offer pay-per-view (PPV) content across a wide range of programming content.

SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２

Started in July 2002, “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” uses the communications satellite at the same 110 degree east longitude as the broadcast satellite (BS). In advance of the cessation of terrestrial analog broadcasting in 2011, current digital television sets are being built with the capacity to receive terrestrial digital, BS digital, and “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” programming. The greatest attraction of “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” is that it can be viewed without a separate set-top box. “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” broadcasts nearly 70 channels, including seven channels in high definition.

SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI

“SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI” is a broadcast service provided by SKY Perfect JSAT Group company OptiCast, Inc. via a fiber optic network. “SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI” offers not only the nearly 290 channels of the “SKY PerfecTV!” service, but also terrestrial digital, BS digital and other broadcast transmissions. Launched in February 2004 as a service for multi-family complexes in the 23 wards of Tokyo, “SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI” has subsequently expanded regionally to the greater Tokyo metropolitan area, Nagoya, and Osaka markets, as well as laterally into the detached home customer segment. Beginning July 2008, the “SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI” transmission band was extended to 2072MHz offering a new range of products in the Tokyo metropolitan area through the “SKY PerfecTV! HIKARI Home Type Wide” service. This transition to greater bandwidth is also intended to provide for the transmission of “SKY PerfecTV! ｅ２” and the high-definition channels through “SKY PerfecTV! HD”
